Zoria, founder of STEAM Glow Squad, recently had an exciting opportunity to participate in the Junior Tank Youth Entrepreneurship Program hosted by the Henry County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.—and she brought home 1st place!

Zoria, Founder of STEAM Glow Squad, Wins 1st Place Jr. Tank Pitch Competition

This was her very first pitch competition, and she stepped on stage with confidence, creativity, and a big idea.

A Big Opportunity

The Junior Tank program teaches students about entrepreneurship, leadership, branding, and financial literacy. Throughout the program, students worked on developing their business ideas and preparing to present them in a live pitch competition.

Zoria embraced the challenge and was excited to share something she’s truly passionate about.

Introducing STEAM Glow Squad

During the final pitch, Zoria presented her business, STEAM Glow Squad—a brand focused on helping kids explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) through fun, hands-on kits.

Each kit is designed to spark creativity, encourage problem-solving, and make learning feel like play.

Her mission is simple:

✨ Help kids have fun while learning

✨ Encourage creativity and confidence

✨ Inspire more kids—especially girls—to explore STEAM

The Winning Moment

Standing in front of judges and an audience, Zoria confidently shared her vision, explained her products, and answered questions about her business.

At the end of the competition, she was awarded 1st place.

It was a proud and exciting moment—not just for Zoria, but for everyone who has supported her journey.

Why It Matters

For Zoria, this experience was about more than just winning.

It was about:

  • building confidence

  • learning how to share her ideas

  • seeing that her creativity can turn into something real

She hopes to inspire other kids to believe in their ideas and try new things—even if it feels a little scary at first.

What’s Next

This is just the beginning for STEAM Glow Squad!

Zoria is excited to continue creating new kits, sharing her ideas, and encouraging other kids to explore STEAM in fun and creative ways.
